Scheduled - As part of our ongoing efforts to improve user experience with university applications, as well as enhance IT security to protect your information and university data, the Information Strategy and Services (ISS) Identity Management team has been working on migrating a key system to the cloud.

This migration will be occurring from May 20 through May 23, 2025.
There is no impact expected for existing university users.
New student and employee user accounts assigned during this time will be created and provisioned (permissions and access granted to university users for university systems and facilities) after this maintenance window.

These dates have been specifically chosen to be the least impactful to the university community. ISS and Denver OIT are working with multiple departments and vendors campuswide in order to implement this migration quickly and effectively so as not to prolong any potential disruption to university business and learning.

While we do not expect any existing user impacts, due to the integral nature of this system some applications may be affected during this maintenance window. Please contact the OIT Service Desk at 303-724-4357 if you encounter any issues.

We are excited to streamline the user provisioning process (granting access and permissions to university users for university systems and facilities), and to provide more stabilized application services for the tools that you regularly use as well as a more secure system that will protect all university users and their information.

Scheduled - The CU Denver Building is closed by facilities for electrical panel work today from 6 am – 4 pm. There is no access to the building during this time. CU Denver Building Network and building Wi-Fi may not be working during this maintenance window. It will be fully restored when the building is reopened.

Investigating - ISS is currently investigating some of the lingering effects of the Jabber issues resolved earlier in the week. While most have been resolved as individual issues, ISS has discovered an infrastructure issue preventing users from access Jabber without using the VPN.

VPN users are unaffected, and if any user is having issues with Jabber we suggest first connecting to the VPN. We will post updates here as we work on this issue. (Ticket 442987)
